Maths is a language that explains the world around us – we want our learners to use Maths to make sense of everyday situations, establishing connections with real-life context. Problem solving is at the heart of our Maths lessons and we aim to develop learners that are creative and resilient, ready to take risks and being able to tackle problems using a number of different strategies. During lessons, our learners are encouraged to show curiosity and empathy when evaluating other learners’ solutions, a key skill in mastering their own understanding of a topic.
